CAN WE EXERCISE DURING PMS (PREMENSTRUAL SYNDROME)
The answer is YES
The PMS is an emotional and physical challenge we face a week before our monthly cycle.
SYMPTOMS like depression, cramps, migraine, anxiety, body pain and some unexplainable mood swings.
There is no scientific reason that one should skip or miss their workout during the period cycle. The main focus should be that we can reduce the intensity, duration and type of exercise.
SO WHAT EXERCISES CAN REALLY BE DONE DURING PMS:
1) A wonderful cardio workout which has been running successfully in Delhi and parts of the country is POWERMOVES AEROBICS. There is a deeper reason I created this workout. However, this helps to enhance mood and boosts brain chemicals called ENDORPHINS. The endorphins in the body actually help feel less pain during PMS also helps in removing fatigue and mood swings.
2) DANCE IT OUT:
DANCE FITNESS is one of the best forms to take care of PMS. Wondering how you can checkout some video of POWERMOVES BOLLYFITX ON MY YOUTUBE HANDLE (PAYAL MADAN)
You can play it anytime anywhere to beat that stress and burn those calories.
3) STRENGTH/WEIGHT TRAINING DURING PMS:
STRENGTH TRAINING plays an important role throughout the PMS. Basically our Estrogen level is low during this phase-so lifting weights can actually make you feel stronger and more powerful.
4)YOGA:
YES yoga is the best workout one can do!
Practice Yoga can actually alleviate any period pain like back pain, lower abdomen pain because it balances the emotions like mood swings, anxiety, irritability relieving pelvic pain.
Remember one thing
BREATHING IS YOUR BEST FRIEND DURING PMS
5)PILATES:
OMG how I'm gonna do pilates!! it is all abdomen control breathing exercises.
Ok
Stop and chill girl read this carefully
At first it feels like there is no way that we can stretch our stomach but breathing more consciously & deeply will get your diaphragm moving UP/DOWN.
This allows the stomach to relax, stretch, soften which can relieve tension focus to distract discomfort.
